As co-director of Family Story, she is updating our outdated picture of America's families, as she describes in her 2015 TEDWomen talk "The Story We Tell About Poverty Isn’t True." She is a frequent speaker on topics of family, race and poverty.

John Cary

John Cary believes everyone deserves good design. An architect by training, John writes on design, philanthropy and fatherhood; he is the author of The Power of Pro Bono as well as an upcoming book on the dignifying power of design. A strategist for the TED Prize, John is a cofounder of FRESH Speakers, a speakers bureau focused on diversifying thought leadership.

Courtney Martin

Courtney E. Martin's work has two obsessions at its core: storytelling and solutions. Her latest book, The New Better Off, explores how people are re-defining the American Dream. A columnist for On Being with Krista Tippett, Courtney is cofounder of the Solutions Journalism Network, a partner at Valenti Martin Media and FRESH Speakers, and editor emeritus at Feministing.com.

Pat Mitchell

Pat Mitchell is a lifelong advocate for women and girls, known for her work as a journalist, producer, television executive and curator. She has served as president of PBS and of the Paley Center for Media. As a producer, Mitchell's work has garnered 37 Emmys, five Peabodys, and two Oscar nominations. She co-launched TEDWomen in 2010.

Dalia Mogahed

Dalia Mogahed is the Director of Research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, where she leads the organization's pioneering research and thought leadership programs on American Muslims. With John L. Esposito, she coauthored the book Who Speaks for Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think.

Kelly Stoetzel

As TED's Content Director, Kelly spends most of the year assembling speaker programming for TED and working with the speakers as they develop their talks. She also serves as a member of TED's leadership team, and co-leads the content and editorial team.
